Permissions in the database
Thirteen editorial roles, scoped to platform, organization, journal or section, enforced by row-level security rather than hidden menus.
Configurable workflows
Editorial state machines are data, not code — each journal can define its own stages, transitions and required conditions.
Hash-chained audit trail
Every mutation is written to an append-only log whose rows are chained by hash, so tampering is detectable.
Built for readers too
Public journal pages, issues and article landing pages are rendered server-side for indexing and citation.
